Week 03, 2026 — Electronics Component Industry Highlights

📅 (2026/01/12 – 2026/01/18)

🌏 Global Industry Overview (Week 03)

Week 03 marked the first true “Q1 acceleration week” after CES, with demand concentrating sharply around motion sensors (IMUs/gyros), Flash storage (SPI NOR/NAND), and legacy DRAM (DDR3L). While overall top-search leaders remained familiar (Winbond Flash + InvenSense/TDK IMUs), the mix shifted meaningfully: gyro/IMU programs moved into high gear, and pricing signals clustered again in power + protection + discretes, suggesting continued channel tightness and re-quoting activity.

🔹 Motion Sensing Breakout (IMU / Gyro Week)
This was the standout theme: IMU-related models dominated the surge list, and Gyroscopes became the fastest-growing category (+148.26%)—a strong indicator of wearables, robotics, stabilization, and edge-AI devices ramping into real sourcing.

🔹 Flash Ladder Strength Continues (32/64/128 + NAND)
Winbond Flash stayed firmly in control across densities, with W25Q128 / W25Q64 / W25Q32 all rising WoW, plus NAND demand up as well—classic signs of production restock, not just early-year browsing.

🔹 Pricing: Power + Protection Remain Volatile
Price increases leaned toward DC/DC modules/controllers, discretes, ESD/protection, and USB interface parts, while declines hit another cluster of discretes and protection lines—consistent with spot shortages in some channels and normalization in others.

🔹 Inventory: Distribution Repositioning Into Q1 Builds
Inventory surges appeared in isolation/sensing (AMC1300), op-amps (AD8607), USB-UART (FT230XS-U), and power management (TPS61080)—typical of distributors stocking for fast-turn Q1 projects.

🧭 Cerametronics Weekly Insight (Week 03)

Week 03 is a sensor-led acceleration week. IMU/gyro demand (ICM-42607/42670 family) exploded, and category momentum confirms real design activity in motion-driven devices—wearables, robotics, stabilization, and edge-AI terminals. Flash demand remained structurally strong across densities, while DDR3L demand rebounded—suggesting legacy platforms are still being built at meaningful volume.

🔹 Watchlist

IMU / gyro ramp: ICM-42607* / ICM-42670* (program ramp + substitution risk)

Flash ladder: W25Q32 / W25Q64 / W25Q128 / W25Q256 (multi-density restock = production signal)

Protection & discretes volatility: PRTR*, ESD5Z*, BAS70*, PMEG* (expect quote swings)

Connectivity + interconnect: Harting / WAGO / Glenair / Harwin growth (Q1 harness & system builds)

Power module spikes: TPSM63603*, TPS61080* (lead time sensitivity + repricing risk)
