Analog Devices
Precision instrumentation amplifier, gain 1–1000 with one resistor, 80 dB CMRR to 10 kHz, 8-lead MSOP – ADI AD8221 on allocation
The Analog Devices AD8221ARMZ-R7 is a precision instrumentation amplifier with a gain range of 1 to 1000 set by a single external resistor, at least 80 dB common-mode rejection up to 10 kHz at unity gain, 825 kHz bandwidth and operation from ±2.3 V to ±18 V supplies. Delivered in a space-saving 8-lead MSOP on 7-inch tape and reel, it is widely used in medical instrumentation, industrial process control, strain-gauge and bridge measurement and data-acquisition front ends. Although the part remains in production at ADI, authorized channel stock of the MSOP reel version has been cleared with extended factory lead times, driving strong open-market demand. Cerametronics sources traceable AD8221ARMZ-R7 stock and quotes within 24 hours.

Quality & Traceability
Cerametronics is ISO 9001 certified and products are RoHS compliant, with counterfeit screening and full traceability on every shipment. A Certificate of Conformance is available on request. For allocation-sensitive or high-risk lots, independent third-party lab verification can be arranged — just flag it on your RFQ. Any lot that fails incoming inspection is quarantined and never shipped.
FAQ
Is AD8221ARMZ-R7 obsolete?
No. Analog Devices lists the AD8221 and the AD8221ARMZ as Production. The shortage is a supply-demand issue: authorized distributor stock of the MSOP reel version has been cleared while factory lead times remain long, so buyers turn to the open market for near-term needs.
Which grade do I need – AD8221AR or AD8221BR?
The A grade (AD8221ARMZ) is the standard precision grade; the B grade offers tighter offset and gain-error limits. Both share the same MSOP footprint. Tell us your quantity and target date and we will quote the grade you have qualified, or both.
